DANCE STYLES
BALLROOM & LATIN
Learn to dance like the Strictly stars! From Cha Cha to Waltz, Jive to Quickstep these classes offer it all. Learn exciting choreography, timing, technique and posture all while building confidence and keeping fit. You have the option to build up to taking medal tests and even entering competitions. Learn from beginner level all the way up too advanced.

FREESTYLE DISCO
Freestyle Disco (Acro Dance) is a style which combines dance and gymnastics together to the most upbeat music. These classes will teach musicality, leaps, kicks, spins, runs, technique, flexibility and will build the core strength needed for this style. We offer classes for beginner level all the way through to advanced competition standard.

SLOW DANCE & LYRICAL
Slow Dance/Lyrical is an expressive dance form incorporating technique, control and emotion through movement to music. Similar to the style seen on Dance Moms, lyrical is an expressive style which is characterized by fluidity and grace, with the dancer flowing seamlessly from one move to another, including acrobatic movements such as leaps, pirouettes, fouettes and illusions.

CHEER DANCE
Grab your Poms and get ready to dance to all of the latest music. This class is all about fun, energetic pom routines. A great way to make new friends. Learning skills such as technique, musicality, rhythm and of course building strength.
Don't worry if you don't have poms straight away. Poms can be purchased once you have settled into one of our Cheer Dance classes.
STREET COMMERCIAL
This style covers creative choreography to the latest chart music as you would see in a music video or with backing dancers. Commercial street is a mix of street, hip hop, attitude and sass all mixed into one style.

ROCK 'N' ROLL
Rock & Roll is a very athletic, form of partner dance that originated from Lindy Hop. It is fast tempo and includes flicks, kick ball changes, lift work and more.
We don't currently offer this style in a class of its own, however we do teach Rock & Roll in our combination class and competitively to an advanced standard. Please enquire for more information.
COMBINATION CLASS
Want a class that offers it all? Then the combination class is for you. This class is a great way for children ages 4-10 to learn a variety of different styles of dance including Ballroom, Latin, Freestyle Disco, Street Dance, Lyrical slow and Rock n Roll all in one amazing class!!
SHOW CLASS
The Base Studios are proud to produce two of our very own Theatre shows each year. Our weekly show classes include lots of different dance styles, pushing our dancers to show off their creative talent ready for the big stage. Dancers must attend this class on a regular basis if they are to be part of both the Summer and Christmas shows.
